VPN Setup - Windows 7, 8.1, and 10


The GCTS VPN connection allows users who have been granted VPN permissions to connect to the Gordon-Conwell network from off campus.

SETUP

  • Open the Network and Sharing Center located in the control panel.

 

  • Set Up a New Connection or Network

 

  • Connect to a Workplace

 

  • Next
  • Use my Internet Connection (VPN)
  • Enter the following:
        1. Internet address: vpn.gcts.edu
        2. Destination name: GCTS VPN 
        3. Don't select Remember my credentials and Allow other people to use this connection
        4. Click Create

 

USAGE [Please note that the VPN connection only works from outside the Gordon-Conwell network.]

  • Click the Network Icon in the tray

  • Click the GCTS VPN connection

    1. Click Connect
    2. Enter your GCTS login credentials (you may need to enter your full Gordon-Conwell email address - e.g. jdoe@gordonconwell.edu - and then your Gordon-Conwell password)
    3. Don't choose to save your credentials
    4. When you are finished working with the GCTS network, click Disconnect

 OR

  • Click the GCTS VPN connection, and if the windows below opens, click GCTS VPN again

 

    1. Click Connect
    2. Enter your GCTS login credentials (you may need to enter your full Gordon-Conwell email address - e.g. jdoe@gordonconwell.edu - and then your Gordon-Conwell password)
    3. When you are finished working with the GCTS network, click Disconnect
